The like to William de Bereford and Peter Malorre, on complaint by William de Hamelton, dean of St Peter's, York, that whereas the custody of the lands late of Richard le Chaumberleyn, with the marriage of Thomas his son and heir, belonged to him by reason of the demise thereof to him by Thomas de Furnivall, of whom Richard held by knight service, and though be has long been in seisin thereof, and often duly offered to the said Thomas a suitable marriage, the said Thomas has refused it altogether, and the said Thomas de Furnivall has with the said heir ejected him from the custody without eatisfying the marriage, and carried away some of his goods out of the above lands at Thorp, co.
