Grant to the mayor, échevins and burgesses of Abbeville, that if, in any malefactor, exile or banished person flying from justice, they to kill or mutilate him in self-defence, they shall be saved harmless not be impleaded thereof by the king, his seneschal or officers, Grant to the same, for eight years from Midsummer, to take a certain or make a certain assise, subject to the approval of Thomas de seneschal of Ponthieu, and of Reginald, monk of Foreste, for relief and repair of the town of Abbeville.
