Mandate to send to the pope the oath of fealty taken and subscribed by the said archbishop, who is to renew it within five years. To the Carmelite prior and friars of Castle Cletan, or Olethan, in the diocese of Cloyne. Inhibition to inhabit that place for seven years, they having received and occupied it without papal licence, contrary to the constitution of Boniface VIII. After seven years they may obtain special papal licence and return thereto. To Walter, archbishop elect of Canterbury. Indult to visit his diocese and province by deputy for three years, and receive procurations. Concurrent mandate to William de Melton, provost of Beverley, the archdeacon of Gloucester, and another named. Jan. To William de Birstone, archdeacon of Gloucester. Indult to visit his archdeaconry by deputy for three years, and receive procurations. Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Worcester, the archdeacon of Winchester, and Gilbert de Middleton, canon of London. 9-CLEMENT V. 121 To Roger de Wingefeld. He is rector of Brinton, Wetheringsete, and Sutton, in the dioceses of Lincoln and Norwich, and of Kemesey in that of Worcester, value 40 marks, being 14 marks in excess of the amount named in a former dispensation. Dispensation, at the request of the king, whose clerk he is, to retain the same, their total value being 80/. and 4 marks, with leave to accept two other benefices, value 200 marks. Faculty to receive the resignation by Ponchard de Monte Martini of his canonry and prebend of Langchester, and rectory of Waddon, in the dioceses of Durham and Ely, and to give them to two fit persons, inducting and defending them in the same.
