Confirmation, at the request of the king, whose clerk he is, of a dispensation formerly granted him. He, when subdeacon, obtained the chancellorship of St. Patrick's, Dublin, the treasurership of Lichfield, and the churches of REGESTA, VOL. LXI. Radeclyve on Soar, Wimbeldon, Northmymmes, Wimbissh Simundsburn, Dunbar, and Stoke, in the dioceses of York, Winchester, Lincoln, London, Durham, Coventry and Lichfield, and St. Andrews, prebends of Wells, Houden, and Beverley, with leave to accept two or more benefices, value 200/. and on resigning three of the said benefices to accept others, upon which he obtained the churches of Wigeton, Colyhull, Stivelingflet, Northreby, and Chalke, in the dioceses of York, Coventry and Lichfield, Carlisle, Norwich, and Rochester, value 2007. and lastly, resigned Wimbissh and Northmymmes, and the canonry and prebend of Houedon; the treasurership not being mentioned in the dispensation, which is now confirmed, and he is allowed to retain the said benefices. Dec. To Henry Dalphini, archdeacon of Worcester. Indult to visit his archdeaconry by deputy for three years, and receive procurations. Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Worcester, the abbot of St. Anthony s, Vienne, and another named. Jan. To Walter, late bishop of Worcester, now archbishop elect of Canterbury, to whom the palliwm has been sent by the bishop of London. Monition to renew within five years the oath of fealty which he has taken to the pope and the Roman church, and to govern his church with humility and justice.
