Writ to the sheriff and coroners of Northampton to enquire as to death of Ralph le Turner, a boy, said to have died, within the year, of a given him by Austin de Berkeswell, who hit him on the head accidentally a stick which he was throwing after a beast which he found in his growing Westminster. 3 November 8 Edward I. [1280.] Inquisition at Northampton on the morrow of the Circumcision [2 January : Austin slew Ralph by misadventure as above stated. Cf. Patent 29.44.
