Writ to the sheriff of York. Perth. 7 July 31 Edward I. [1303.] writ of p.s. Inquisition : Seterington. Saturday after St. James. Geofirey Stulle of Seterington and Josiana his wife hold a messuage and and 3 acres of land in Seterington, ot the yearly value of 12s., which had of the gift of John de Eston, of the king in chief, by homage and service ; and 3 messuages and 7 bovates of land in the same town, the yearly value of 30s. 3d., which they had of the gift of Roger le Bygod, of the king in chief by the same service ; the said Geoffrey and Josiana the said tenements by a fine made before those supplying the place the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. The said Geoflrey holds of John le Bigod 5 messuages and 10 bovates of in Seterington, of the yearly value of 65s., by homage and foreign service ; of the said John in the same town 24 acres of land, of the yearly value 6s. 6d., by the service of rendering yearly 18d. ; and of Richard West 20 in the same town of the yearly value of 6s. 8d., by the service of rendering 2s. ld. ; and 5 acres in the same town of John de Linbergh of the yearly of 20d., by the service of rendering yearly ld.; and of William le an acre of land and an acre and a half of meadow in the same of the yearly value of 3s. 6d., by the service of rendering yearly 1d. ; of Robert de Beverlaco a messuage and 4 bovates of land in Levesham the yearly value of 26s. 8d., by homage and foreign service ; the said Geoflrey Josiana hold of Ralph de Barkthorpe 4 messuages and 4 bovates of land Barkthorpe of the yearly value of 40s., by homage and foreign service, of the said Ralph a messuage in Warhom of the yearly value of 3s., by service of ld.; the said Geoffrey holds of Adam de Beridsale a messuage Malton of the yearly value of 5s., by the service of rendering yearly 2d. ; of William de Wescy a messuage in the borough of Malton of the yearly of 3s., by the service of rendering yearly 2d. ; and of Henry de Luffenham acres of land in Sutton of the yearly value of 6s. 8d., by the service of yearly 1d.
