July 51, Inquisition

Writ to the sheriff of Wilts to enquire in the presence of the coroners, a jury whose names are given, whether the aforesaid (sic) Robert Patrick Gilberd, Robert Gerold, and Robert Bile have broken into the close Richard de Hereford, clerk of the exchequer, in Stodham, damaged the and grass, driven away the cattle, and maltreated his bailiff Ralph de as he says or not ; seeing that there is a suit between the parties before barons of the exchequer, which has been referred to such inquisition ; the inquisition is to be produced before the said barons.
