de Kerdeston, knight, acknowledges that he owes to John and Nicholas Styvenbergh, merchants of Prussia (Spruc), to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in that the said John and Nicholas grant that if William pay at London 1371. 10s. at Michaelmas next and 187/. 10s. at Christmas the recognisances shall be null. that William de Kerdeston paid to the said merchant 137/. at Michaelmas in the present year, and the merchants put in their place Mynter and John Patton, merchants of Almain, to prosecute of the above recognisance for the remaining money. on payment, acknowledged by the said Herman and John Patton.
