John de Sancto Johanne, Adam de Lymbergh, John de Tycheburn, Thomas de Louthe. Whereas lately at the complaint of Thomas de of Southampton setting out that Henry Forst, Walter Forst, Forst, John de Lodelawe, Thomas Neel, John Willy, William atte and Adam Scoy and other malefactors went to his house at Southby force and arms whilst he was under the king's protection, and the doors of his house, and took and carried away silver vessels and goods and chattels to the value of 200/., and assauited, beat, and his men and servants, whereby he lost their service for a long and that they also went to two of his ships lying at anchor in the port that town, which were loaded on the king's behalf to go to Gascony to salt and wines thence into this realm for the use of the king and of earl of Kent, and entered them, and took and carried away the of the ships and other goods and chattels of the king and of his in tbe ships to the value of 100/., and arrested the ships wilfully, and them under arrest so long that the king and he lost the voyage of ships aforesaid for that season, the king appointed the aforesaid John, John, and Thomas his justices to hear and determine the said and the king is now given to understand on behalf of Queen to whom the late king assigned the ferm of the town of Southin dower, that the said Henry, Walter, and the others, caused the vessels, goods, chattels, and ships to be arrested because the said de Bynedon detained in his possession 322/. 6s. 4d. that he and de Sutton and Henry le Flemmyng lately levied of the said ferm the use of the said queen, and refused to satisfy her for the same, and refuses to do so, and for no other reason, and she has besought the king provide a remedy so that the said Henry Forst and the others may not aggrieved unduly by reason of the said arrest: the king therefore, conthat it is not consonant with reason that Henry Forst and the shall be molested for this reason, and wishing to obviate the malice the said Themas, orders the aforesaid justices to supersede entirely the Q 2 process against the said Henry Forst and the others, and to send into chancery under their seals the king's letters appointing them his justices in this matter, and also the whole process made by them by virtue of the said letters.
