The like to Robert de Aspale, William Tracy and Robert de Aston on information that persons in the counties of Gloucester, Somerset, Dorset and Wilts have carried away the escheated goods of Hugh le Despenser the younger and Master Robert de Baldok which were in Bristol Castle and the barton and liberty of Bristol, and still detain these from the king ; that his ministers and others have oppressed his tenants in those counties, extorting from them such ransoms that they are not able to satisfy their services and customs due to him, that in K.yngeswode Chace there have been trespasses of vert and venison, the perpetrators whereof are screened from justice by others and that the king's foresters there are prevented by threats from discharging their offices.
