Commission of oyer and terminer to John de Cobeham and William Newcastle- de Carleton touching the complaint by Donus de Podio that whereas upon-tyne. John Wake, with the king's licence, demised to him for a term 2002. a year in rent in the said John's manor of Cotingham, co. York, which he holds in chief, in satisfaction of his debts, and the said Donus after seisin assigned the same by recognisance made at the Exchequer to Otto de Grandissono for satisfaction of his own debts, the said John ejected him before the expiration of his term; granted in order that the said Otto, who is beyond seas on the king's service, may more quickly obtain satisfaction for his debts.
