Grant that John son of Robert, and Thomas de Muleton, or others to be substituted by the king in their places if they cannot be found, shall come to Carlisle a fortnight after Michaelmas, and shall there swear [before the clerk of the papal legate, sent there for that purpose caneelled to value in conjunction with valuers who will be sent there on behalf of A. king of Scots 2U0/. worth of land which ought to be assigned to A. king of Scots in the counties of Northumberland and Cumberland, or elsewhere if any part of such 2001. be lacking in those counties. Notitication to M. son of Gerold, justiciary of Ireland, that peace has now been made and sworn between A. king of Scots, and the king with regard to all disputes which had arisen between thei up to Friday before Michaelmas, 1237; and mandate to him to permit all merchants of the power of the said king to come safely into Ireland and trade there, and to cause the goods of merchants of the land of that king, which were arrested in Ireland on account of a robbery lately committed at sea by William de Marisco to be delivered to the said merchants. And it is commanded by letters close to the mayor and good men of Dublin to cause the goods so arrested by them to be delivered.
