Inspeximus and confirmation of a writing dated 9 July 1311, by William dean of the church of St. Peter, York, and the chapter of that place, to Richard Tunnok, confirming letters of Bertrand de Fargis prebendary of Osbaldwyk in the church of St. Peter, York, and archdeacon of the Kast Riding, granting with the consent of the chapter to Richard Tunnok of York a messuage with its buildings and appurtenances in the street called Stayngate in York, late of Master Stephen de Ecclesfeld, sometime canon of that church, belonging to him in right of his prebend of Osbaldwyk and commonly called Seynpetreprisons , lying between a messuage which John de Leycestre held of the feoffment of the prebendary of Barneby, and that which Geoffrey le Botiler holds for a term of years from the chapter, and extending from the high street of Stayngate in front to the tenement of the prebendary of Massam at the back, to hold to him and his heirs subject to paying yearly to the prebendary of Osbaldwyk for the time being 20s. sterling, to the chapter one mark, and 2 marks to the master and brethren of the hospital of St. Leonard, York, for suits of court and all other secular services, exactions and demands: witnesses, Master William de Pykering dean of the said church, Peter de Roos precentor, Robert de Ripplingham chancellor, and Robert de Pikering and John de N assington canons thereof. By fine of 100s. 19.
