Grant to John, archbishop of Canterbury, that, whereas before he received the temporalities of his present see on his translation from the seo of Winchester he had caused all the winter seed to be sown and the lent seed for the present year to be either sown or provided ready for sowing, he shall have all the crops so sown in the lands of the temporalities of the see of Winchester without rendering anything to the king for the same; that these crops shall in due season be mown by the customary tenants where they have nsed to mow ; and that the archbishop shall be permitted to cause the residue to be mown by his own men and servants, and shall make his profit of the whole without hindrance by the king or any of his ministers.
