Whereas on 26 October, in his twenty-third year, the king granted to Elizabeth de Vaux, one of Queen Philippa's damsels, an annuity of 40 marks at the exchequer for life; at the request of Ralph de Buxton, who has married the said Elizabeth, and of Elizabeth, and because they have surrendered the letters patent of such annuity, he has granted that they shall have the 40 marks out of the farm of the priory of Andevre, co. Southampton, now in the king's hands on account of the war with France, and that in the event of the priory being restored to the prior in the lifetime of Elizabeth, they shall then have the same at the exchequer for her life.
