Licence for the drapers of the city of London to sell all such cloths as they had at the time of the holding of the last Parliament, which they cannot conveniently sell before 1 September, after that date, notwithstanding that it is provided by 25 Edward III (stat. 8, cap. 1] that after that date all cloth found by the king's alnager to measure less by 1 ell than the assize ordained by the statute of Northampton shall be forfeited to the king. They are required, however, to shew all such cloths before John Marreys, the alnager, or his deputy in the city before 1 September to be sealed with his seal that the old cloth may be easily distinguished from the new, and any old cloth found unsealed after that day will be forfeited.
