Pardon to John son of John Legat, for the death of Robert de Chichester. Turbervill, as it appears by the record of Hygh de Braunteston and John Neyrenuyt, justices appointed to deliver Oxford gaoj, that he is and from birth has been deaf and dumb, and therefore, according to law and the custom of the realm, cannot put himself upon the country. The king commanded it at Wymburne Mensire, on the information of W. de Hamelton. May 28.
