Mandate to John de Warenna, earl of Surrey, to arrest wherever they are to be found, and keep in safe custody until further orders, such persons as were indicted and found guilty before John le Bretun and Richard de Walsingham, appointed to a commission of oyer and terminer touching the persons who entered the earl's free chaces, warrens and parks in the counties of Surrey and Sussex, with a multitude of armed men on horseback and on foot, while he was away some time ago on the king's service, hunted therein and carried away deer, hares, rabbits and partridges, led away some of his men, and plundered his goods. The said commissioners were foi merly instructed to supply the names of those whom they found guilty to the sheriff of the said counties, and the sheriff was ordered to go with a sufficient posse of the said counties, and if necessary, with the earl's posse, and arrest them, but they have escaped into other cuunties and are wandering about refusing to submit to justice.
