Licence, in consideration of a fine made at the Exchequer by Master John de Nassington, parson of the church of Brayton, for the alienation in mortmain to him, by William de Hamelton, dean of St. Peter's, York, and John de Merkyngfeld, clerk, of a messuage, a mill, four tofts and three bovates of land in Brayton which they had acquired there, for the maintenance of a chaplain to celebrate divine service daily in the church there in honour of St. Mary the Virgin. By fine made at the Exchequer. 56.
