Licence for Brian Roucliff, third baron of the Exchequer, and John Marchall, citizen and mercer of London, or their heirs and executors to found a perpetual chantry of one chaplain and preacher of the word of God to celebrate divine service at the altar in the chapel of St. Mary in the parish church of Ware, co. Hertford, in honour of the said Virgin and St. Thomas the Martyr, for the good estate of the king and his consort Elizabeth, queen of England, his first-born son Edward, prince of Wales, and his heirs and successors, kings of England, and the said Brian and John and for their souls and the soul of Master William Graunger after death and the souls of Helen Bramble alias Warbulton, William Bramble and Richard Warbulton her late husbands, William Bramble her son and John Cook and Marjory her parents, to be called the chantry of Helen Bramble, and for them to grant in mortmain to the said chaplain lands, tenements, rents, services and possessions, not held in chief, to the yearly value of 104.
