Whereas Nicholas de Weston, knight of the county of Northampton, in the king's presence prayed the king to do him grace in respect of the fine of 100 marks which he made with the king for certain trespasses ; therefore, inasmuch as the said Nicholas, at the king's petition, promised and gave security in court before the king not to alienate his lands to anyone nor to disinherit his heirs, the king has pardoned him the said fine and given him licence to alienate land to the value of 10/. yearly, but no more, to any one except his heirs.
