He has written to the king of France about the business of Poitou, sending also letters to the same about the business of the count of La Marche. As he is unwilling that the truce should be postponed by occasion of choosing arbiters between the two kings to settle damages to be paid for injuries inflicted on either side during the truce, the pope suggests that the king should give his entire endeavours to a renewal of the truce.
