Confirmation, with exemplifications, of the appropriation of the parish church of Wyssenden, value 50 marks, their revenues not being enough to support forty canons and two hundred sisters, especially since the payment ot 40 marks by the monastery of Paisley has ceased for fourteen years by reason of the wars. The said appropriation was made by Walter, archbishop of Canterbury at Northampton, 8 Kal. Feb, 1319, under papal mandate, dated 14 Kal. May, an. 3. To Robert de Wodehous, canon of York, who is the king's treasurer. Provision, at king Edward's and queen Isabella's request, of the archdeaconry of Richmond, void by the consecration of Tailarandus, otherwise Elias, bishop of Auxerre ; notwithstanding that Robert has canonries and prebends of Lincoln, St. Mary's Southwell, and St. Andrew's Bishops Auckland. a canonry of York, with expectation of a prebend, and is warden of St. Nicholas's hospital, Pontefract. Concurrent mandate to Richard de Ayremynne, canon of Lincoln, Walter de London, canon of Salisbury, and another named. To John, cardinal of St. Angelo s. Provision of the rectory of Downton, in the diocese of Salisbury, void by the consecration of Thomas, bishop of Hereford. Concurrent mandate to three persons beneficed out of England. To Master Edmund de Mepham, S.T.P. Provision of the eanonry of Chichester, and prebend of Huvaville, void by the consecration of Simon, archbishop of Canterbury ; notwithstanding that he has a canonry and prebend of Llandaff, and is rector of Bradstede, in the diocese of Canterbury. Concurrent mandate to the chancellors of London, Lincoln, and Salisbury. To Adam de Dornach, of the diocese of Caithness. Reservation of a benefice, value 20 marks with cure of souls, or 15 without it, in the gift of the bishop of Glasgow. Concurrent mandate to the bishop of St. Audrews, the abbot of Holy Rood, Edinburgh, and another named.
