July 1, Avignon
Commission and mandate to grant a licence to Thomas Wake, lord of Lidel, to transfer to Another place the Augustinian monastery founded by him in his town of Cotingham, to which the parish church has been appropriated, and to which have come many canons of Brunne, in the diocese of Lincoln. It appears, according to the statutes and customs of the realm, that T. Wake s heirs will have the power of uprooting the monastery at Cotingham.
