Mandate to induce the king to cause his officials, ministers, and nobles to cease from occupying churches and benefices reserved to the pope, and imprisoning clerks, secular and regular, and fining them, and to respect the liberties of the church. The papal collectors have been unable to obtain payment of the residue of Peter's pence and legacies, Holy Land subsidies, and other dues of the Roman church, being hindered therein by the officers of the king, who feigns to be ignorant of the matter.
