June 35, Inquisition

Writ to the sheriff of Cambridge. Westminster. 20 February Edward I. [1286.] By chancellor at the instance of William de Inquisition in full county : Henry son of William de Oure killed William of Richard de Oure by misadventure. Henry was in the town of Oure Easter day eight years ago, and shot with his bow at marks (ad metas) playwith others. William came and stretched out his head towards the marks see who shot best, so that Henry struck him on the head with a pellet 234, C. Ing. Misc. File 45. (28.) 2283.
