Writ to the sheriff of Derby. Neuadarthlan. 9 May 12 Edward I. Inquisition in full county. Thursday after the translation of St. Thomas Martyr 12 Edward I [13 July 1284] : William son of Richard de Feyrfeld in writ) imprisoned at Nottingham (Derby in writ) killed Richard of Feyrfeld in self defence. Richard got William down on the ground him and wounded him with a knife in the shoulder (in scapulo) and in the 272. C. Ing. Misc. File 43. (30.) 2267.
