Writ to the sheriff and coroners of York to enquire whether John Balnea hanged himself in a fit of madness (furore ductus) at Miclefeld in Overton. 26 September 11 Edward I. [1283.] Inquisition by twelve of Bark : John de Balnea of Mikelfeud hanged on St. Mary Magdalen s day 11 Edward I [22 July 1283]. He took his clothes and fled to the park of Kypaske and there hanged himself as SUPPLEMENT. 605 (frenseticus) by a cord from a hazel. No one else is guilty.
