Windsor. 26 October 38 Henry III. [1254.] (Torn.) : As Robert son of Robert de Olneye and others with him in the king's highway singing drunk (ebrii cantantes) there came one de Yerdelegh in a cart, likewise drunk, and drove his horse and cart (swper) the singers. And Robert pursued William and struck him on with a hatchet, but not feloniously nor of malice prepense, since were unknown to each other. St. Hilary s day, 39 Henry III. [13 January 1255.] de Horsingden imprisoned Stephen de Eya, the jurors do not why. He imprisoned James Batail unjustly without warrant, and him among the thieves (Jatrones) until he paid a fine of 20s.
