Writ to Walter de Gloucestre, escheator south of Trent. Lanrecost. December 35 Edward I. [1306.] Leicester. Inquisition : Garthorp. 20 December. Robert Walrand granted by charter to Alice de la Hyde a third part of manor of Garthorp, after the death of Denise, late the wife of William who held the same in dower. The said manor was granted by King III. to the said Robert, and was an escheat by the death of the said a Norman ; it is held by the yearly service of 10s. 6d., and suit to hundred of Framelund every three weeks ; the said third part is of the value of 121.
