Writ to Walter de Gloucestre, escheator south of Trent. 18 March 30 Edward I. [1302.] Essex. Inquisition : Prytewelle. 7 April. In all previous voidances of the priory of Prytewelle, the escheator has been to take simple seisin in the king's name, and to appoint a porter at the of the priory ; when the prior elect brought the king's letters of admission escheator and the porter departed without levying any issues or taking goods of the said priory.
