Writ to Walter de Gloucestre, escheator south of Trent. 14 November 30 Edward I. [1302.] Inguisition : Baketon. Saturday after St. Nicholas 31 Edward I. Pecche, Rose his wife, and John their son were jointly enfeoffed the manor of Baketon by Juliana Pecche, and the said Rose and John their seisin jointly with the said William from St. Luke 25 Edward I, they were enfeoffed, until the Circumcision 30 Edward I, when the William was outlawed by reason of a felony, which he was alleged to committed. The manor is held of the honour of Eye, now in the king's hand, by the of sixpence to be paid at the end of 32 weeks from year to year, and extended at 71. 12s. 8d. C. Ing. Misc. File 61. (10.) 1880.
