On Saturday before St. Clement the Pope 28 Edward I, Ralph le Noreys Robert de Langehulle came from Oxford market between Little Bridge and the hospital of St. Bartholomew and quarrelled with MISCELLANEOUS 503 language (par grosse paroles) and came to blows. The said Ralph the said Robert with a great Kentish stick, and the said Robert in struck the said Ralph on the head, whereof he died; the said fled to the church of St. Bartholomew ; he is of good fame. [1299.] church of Hawyk was never void, while the lands of Richard Lovel the king's hand by reason of his minority, and is not now void so said Richard has right of presentation, because Master Richard parson thereof, is alive and in full possession, having been by Sir Hugh Lovel, father of the said Richard Lovel. [1300.] de Staunford of London was never indicted for larceny and is of Writ of privy seal to the sheriff and coroners of Stafford to whether Ralph Caylly of Lichefeld killed Ellis de Neuton in self defence. 30 August 28 Edward [.
