Writ to the sheriffs of London. Westminster. 1 April Edward I. [1300.] Inquisition : Saturday before St. Margaret. The king has not had a year and day of a messuage in the suburb of London, Roger de Assewelle, who was hanged for felony, held. The said Roger, long before he was committed to prison, demised the said to Thomas de Newenham for a term of years, and afterwards released him all right therein. A plea is pending before the treasurer and barons of the exchequer upon said demise and quitclaim. C. Ing. Misc. File 59. (10.) 1819.
