Writ to Stephen de Penecestre, warden of the Cinque Ports, or to who supplies his place. Westminster. 4 July 25 Edward I. [1297.] By petition of the Council. Inquisition : Pevenesey. Wednesday the eve of St. James. Men dwelling within the lowey of Pevenesey are of the liberty of the Cinque and ought to be quit of tallages, though such have several times been C. Ing. Misc.
