Writ to the sheriff of Stafford. Westminster. 28 September Edward I. [1294.] Inquisition in the full county. Thursday before St. Edmund the King. A messuage and 18 acres of land in Madelegh under Lyme, which Richard who was hanged for felony, held, have been a year and a day in the hand, and are held of Edmund Baron [of] Stafford, and the escheator holds the same. William de Stafford had the year and day by a fine made before J. de Berewyk his fellows, justices itinerant at Stafford. C. Ing. Misc. File 54. (30.) 1675.
