Writ to Malcoim de Harleye, escheator south of Trent. Newcastle- 30 December 21 Edward I. [1293.] Inquisition : Chelmerford. 12 May. A tenement in Wrytele, which Richard de Haleford holds of the grant of le Waleys, is the same tenement which King Henry TI granted by to Robert de Turri, clerk, to be held by the yearly service of half a ; the said Robert de Turri was the ancestor of the said Robert le Waleys. The said Richard de Haleford entered by Robert le Waleys, who enfeofted of the said tenement, to be held by the said service of Robert de Brus the who has the manor of Wrytele of the gift of King Henry III in The said tenement is of the yearly value of 50s. ; the said Richard has held same for eight years past, paying yearly therefor to Robert de Brus half a C. Ing. Misc. File 52. (24.) 1617.
