Writ to Malcolm de Harlee, escheator south of Trent. Westminster. February 20 Edward I. [1292.] Inquisition : Brantesthorn. Thursday after the Annunciation. The prior of Schuldham acquired from John Godsib of Fyncham an acre land long before the publication of the statute of mortmain. A messuage eight acres of land held by Muriel Abel, an acre held by Hugh le Morne, an acre held by John son of William Morne, of the said prior, which he taken into his own hand, were of his villenage.
