Writ to Malculm de Harleye, guardian of the bishopric of Llandaff voidance. Ichyngton. 8 March 19 Edward I. [1291.] Inquisition : Thursday after St. Barnabas. Humphrey de Boun, grandfather of Sir Humphrey de Boun, now earl of and Essex and constable of England, gave to the bishop and chapter Llandaff in frank almoin the town of Dewistowe in Nitherwent for the of a chantry of two chaplains to celebrate divine service in the of Llandaff, for the souls of his ancestors and of Master Henry de and others ; the residue, if any, to be distributed to the poor on anniversary of the said Master Henry. Inquisition : Saturday the morrow of St. Margaret. Master William de Radenore gave to William de Bruwes, then bishop, and chapter of Llandaff, the manor of Arcleston, whereof they had seisin until Master Henry de Bray, late escheator south of Trent, after the of the said bishop, took the said manor into the king's hand with the other lands, whereas it seems by inspection of muniments that said manor ought to remain to the chapter during voidance of the bishopric.
