Writ to Reynold de Grey, justice of Chester. Westminster. February 18 Edward [. [1291.] Inquisition : Chester. Thursday the feast of St. Peter's Chair Edward I. Thomas de Twemlowe held land in Twemlowe immediately of the prior of hospital of St. John by the service of 12d. of yearly rent, and coming to court by summons twice a year, and giving a third part of his goods at his in the name of an obit. The said Thomas gave to Richard de Swetenam all his arable land with capital messuage, and a moiety of his waste and wood, the said Richard all customs and services due to the said prior, and afterwards years past enfeoffed the abbot and convent of Vale Royal of the other of his waste and wood, which they now hold.
