Writ to Malculm de Harley, escheator south of Trent. Lincoln. August 19 Edward I. [1291.] Inquisition : Somerton. Monday before Michaelmas. John de Soleny gave to Alexander de Arsyk and to Emma sister of the John, a third part of the manor of Kynemersdon, co. Somerset, in free in the time of King John. i The said third part descended by hereditary right to Hugh de Tywe, who the same to Walter his son with Emma daughter of Thomas de Whelton free marriage ; after the death of the said Walter the said Emma married de Nortoft and the said Adam and Emma sold the said third part to Burnel, now bishop of Bath and Wells, who enfeoffed thereof William de eight years past, in exchange for land in co. Salop called Langedone. Sir Philip de Albaniaco, who holds two parts of the said manor of the king chief, defends the said third part of all services. C. Ing. Misc. File 50. (7.) 1544.
