Writ to the same sheriffs. Ambresbury. 17 April. Inquisition : Sunday the morrow of St. Botulph. About the end of the year 13 Edward I Richard de Wymburn, as clerk of de Rokesle, then sheriff of London, came to the house of John de in the parish of St. Laurence in Candelwykstrete, by procurement consent of John de Lincoln, citizen of London; they took brass and goods of the said John de Brylaunde to the value of 32s. 63d., and caused to be carried away by porters to the hall of the Teutons, where they them in the care of William le Enfaunt, who dwelt there. There were also found in the said hall in the keeping of the said William locked chests of the said John de Brylaunde, which the jurors did not to open without his presence, but, though often requested, he refused to present. The said chests and goods still remain in the care of the said A table appraised at 12d., which belonged to the said John de Brylaunde, carried to the house of John de Lincoln. C. Ing. Misc.
