Commitment (with like clause) to Thomas Tudenham, knight, by mainprise of John Heydon of Heydon, co. Norfolk, gentilman , and Reynold Rous of Denyngton, co. Suffolk, gentilman , of the keeping of the alien priory of Dokkyng, co. Norfolk, _which is in the king's hand by the death of Joan late queen of England, with all its rights and appurtenances ; to hold the same from the time of the death of the said queen until Michaelmas next and from Michaelmas for 7 years, rendering the 20 marks for which answer was made to the said queen, yearly at Christmas and Midsummer equally, and maintaining there the divine services and other works of piety customary from of old; with proviso that if any other person shall be willing without fraud to give more by way of increment for the said keeping, then the said Thomas is bound to pay such larger sum if he will have the keeping.
