Grant during pleasure to Henry de Elmham and Nicholas Bonde, their petition, that they may have the keeping of the priory of and of the lands, goods and chattels and other things belonging thereto, they rendering yearly at the Exchequer from Saturday after St. Matthew the Apostle last 160/. at Easter and Michaelmas by equal portions, as the prior of Eye rendered pursuant to other letters patent p. 32], and paying beyond this to the prior 3s. and to each of the monks 18d. a week, and doing and sustaining other charges incumbent ; and grant that they be discharged from rendering account at the Exchequer pursuant to letters patent sealed with the seal of the Exchequer, by which the king committed the said keeping to them after the surrender thereof by the said prior before the council on the said Saturday; saving to the king knights fees and advowsons of churches.
