Commitment during pleasure to the prior of Pembroke in Wales, has appeared personally before the king and council and made petition, of the keeping of that priory and of the lands, goods chattels and other things belonging thereto, with the issues from the morrow of St. Mary Magdalene, 11 Edward III, which day the king decreed that all priories, houses, benefices, places, goods and chattels of religious and other aliens should taken into his hand ; he rendering at the Exchequer or elsewhere the king's order 401. 13s. 4d. for the time from the said day hitherto, 201. 6s. 8d. a year hereafter in moieties at Michaelmas and Easter, finding for the monks or canons and servants of that house their and usual stipends, and doing other charges incumbent, to the king knights fees and advowsons of churches ; he found before the council Philip de Haukeston, Philip Roger David de la Roche of the county of Pembroke and Robert Pokok the county of Kermerdyn, as his mainpernors that he will pay the rent and be of good behaviour, and that he will not withdraw goods of the priory nor send to foreign parts any revenue or tribute.
