Order to the same to take into the king's hands the lands late of le Bret, deceased, tenant in chief. Be it remembered that on Friday after St. Gregory, 14 March, Edward I, the king, coming from Flanders, touched about the hour in the port of Sandwich and on the morrow, Saturday, about first hour John de Langeton, the king's chancellor, in the king's at Sandwich, before the king's bed in his presence and by command, in the presence of Sir R. de Grey, Sir J. de Drokenesford, of the wardrobe, and Sir J. de Benstede, delivered the seal the king used in England while he was in Flanders, under the seal, to W. bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, the treasurer, be kept in the treasury, and the king forthwith in the presence of aforesaid delivered to the chancellor the great seal which he had him in Flanders, under his privy seal with his own hand.
