Commitment to Leonard Hakeluyt, chivaler, by mainprise Thomas Barre, chivaler, and Thomas Clanvowe, chivaler, the keeping of the manors of Mawardyn and Much Marcle, co. (certain lands and rents to the value of 20/. a year the said manor of Marcle excepted, which Roger late earl March, deceased, granted by his writing to Thomas Walwayn life); to hold the same from Easter last for as long as the (with the above exceptions) shall remain in the king's by the death of Roger and by reason of the minority of his son and heir, and so from heir to heir until one of shall have attained lawful age, rendering 54. yearly by portions at the Michaelmas and Easter Exchequers, in to the 201. a year granted by Roger to him for life from manor of Marcle, maintaining the houses and buildings pertainto the said manors (except the lands and rents before excepted), supporting all other charges incumbent thereon, with the above exceptions, and excepting also all other annuities previously granted by Roger to any persons from the said manors.
