Notification to Walter atte Bergh, keeper of the lands late of the duke in the counties of Wilts, Oxford, Berks, Somerset, Dorset, Cornwall, Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester and Salop, and in march of Wales, that the king, with the assent of his son John, of Richmond, and Blanche, his wife, one of the daughters and heirs the duke, has assigned the following castles, towns, manors and lands his kinswoman Maud, the duke's other daughter and heir, who is of age, after taking her homage, to wit, the manors of Tyberton, and Mynstreworth, co. Gloucester, as of the value of 19s. 44d. yearly, the castles and lordships of Monemuth, Hodenak, Castle, Skenfrith, Grossemont, Ettelowe, Eggemor and the provostship of Kedewell, the office of messor, the quarter of Cadugan, the quarter of Peynryn, Karwathlan, and the quarter of Moriz, the leirwyth of Karn , and Iskenny and Maherdyf, in the march of Wales, as of the of 11801. yearly, the manors of Sombourn and Briggestoke, Southampton, Estgarton, Standen, Poghele, Sandon and Hungerand the meadows of Kentebury and Hungerford, co. Berks, manors of Lavyngton, Colyngbourn and Everle, co. Wilts, the of Shapwyk, Kyngeston, Chauton, Lecchelade and Eton a parcel of wood in the forest of Bradden, co. Dorset, and the of Brittesgrave, co. Surrey, as of the value of 5971. 9s. 34d. the castle and manor of Newcastle-under-Lyme with its co. Stafford, the manors of Shulton and Dersford, co. the bailiwick of the honour of Leycestre in the county of the bailiwicks of Carleton and Glenfeld, the bailiwicks of and Hetheley, the castle and manor of Leycestre with its and the gaol and mills of Leycestre, co. Leicester, and the of the fees of the honour of Leycestre in the counties of and Rutland, as-of the value of 3251. 3s. 84d. yearly, farm of 63/. 4s. from the town of Huntyngdon and a yearly of 120/. from the town of Gurmecestre, co. Huntingdon, as of the of 1831. 4s. yearly, and the lordships of Beauford and Nogent in parts of France, as of the value of 4001. yearly, to hold the same her pourparty of the said inheritance, rendering to the aforesaid and Blanche and their heirs, for the life of Robert Bertram, 13s. 4d. yearly, which sum the earl and Blanche are to take from said castle and manor of Newcastle-under-Lyme in recompense a like sum which is charged on the castle and manor of Dunstant- (part of their pourparty), in favour of the said Robert for his by a grant of the said duke, as their pourparty of the charges of rents granted by the duke to divers persons for life out of of the above lands is in excess by that amount; and order to to the said Maud such of the premises as are in the counties of Dorset, Berks and Wilts, and in the march of Wales.
