To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to allow to John Cook and his fellows, guardians of the temporalities of the archbishopric of Canterbury, when in the king's hand by the death of John de Stratford, the archbishop, what they shall be found, by letters of acquittance under the Griffon seal, to have paid to Robert de Mildenhale, receiver of the money of the king's chamber, up to the sum of 1,000/., as on 20 October in the 22nd year of the reign the king reserved to his chamber 1,000/. of the issues of the archbishopric, and by letters under the Griffon seal ordered the said guardians to pay that sum to Robert. t By letter of the seal called le Griffon.
