To the treasurer and chamberlains. Order to pay to Master Laurence from the treasury, 6/. which are due to him for his wages beyond which the king caused to be delivered to him upon his said wages, as king lately sent Laurence to London and to certain other parts of the to treat with certain of the king's lieges whom the king caused to be to ordain concerning the resistance to foreigners who are preparto invade the realm, for the safety and defence of the realm, and to fully those lieges of the intention of the king and his council; and the granted to Laurence 13s. 4d. for his wages for every day that he inteud the premises; and Laurence was in the king's service, in to the said places, staying there and returning thence, from August last until 11 September following, to wit, for twenty-four days.
